SPLAT Fairy Nature Houses
What's a Fairy Nature House?
Fairy Houses are small structures for the fairies and nature’s friends to visit. All fairy houses must appear to be made entirely of natural materials. The simple challenge of creating a fairy house offers children a unique activity that encourages them to go outside and connect with the natural world, nurturing care and respect for the environment.

Fairy Nature House Building Workshops
Come to the studio and work on your house so you can share ideas, materials, and advice. A large variety of natural materials and adhesives will be available, but you’re encouraged to get outdoors and collect some nature for your house or to share with others! There will be ideas, inspiration, and suggestions, but this project is very open-ended!
Nature you can collect for your house!
Get outside and connect with nature. Remember to respect nature and collect dead or fallen materials. Please don't cut branches from trees or anything similar.
Sticks, twigs, and branches
Pebbles, rocks, and stones
And Other Things
Keep in mind the size of your house! Your house should be portable and built on a sturdy platform or base. Suggestion:
Maximum Height: 2ft
Weight: Be mindful that the house needs to be picked up and moved.
Non-Natural things you can use for your house.
To create your fairy house, you will need to use a few materials that you can't find in available back yard. We will use adhesives like hot glue and wood glue, but the glue can't be visible.
Adhesives will be provided to share or you're welcome to bring your own.
